🏠 Erberos

Erberos

The kingdom of Erberos is the largest empire in Tayira, occupying most of its western portion. It is ruled by the Erberos Family, currently headed by Johann Erberos. It is also known as "The Enduring Lands" by its citizens.

Five provinces exist, with each of their capital cities built around the five Fountains. The capital, Kalímore, is the biggest of the five cities, and is situated right in the middle of the empire. Because of the Crimson Sea, no city is built too close to the shore, as the liquid that bathes it is harmful to life itself. When the Crimson Mists envelop the continent, citizens are required to stay home unless permitted by royal decree.

Giant Canals

Through the centuries, while the Erberos kingdom expanded, it also built canals to direct the flow of water from its Fountains to surrounding settlements within each province. Canals can be underground or above-ground, depending on the location. They are also a common source of problems, since a town's water supply might be cut off if one of these canals sustains significant damage.

An Immortal Monarch

King Johann Erberos has ruled his realm for more than one hundred years, and, like his ancestors, seems to have stopped ageing - a sign of his immortality, granted to him by The Lightbringer.

Fear of the Arcane

In Erberos, the practice of arcane magic (wizards, warlocks, bards, and sorcerers) is outlawed. The kingdom fears that this practice attracts the Crimson Mists, making the more frequent and powerful. There is a special division of the Legion of Light dedicated to finding and arresting arcane practitioners.
